Why a FIRE Doctor Wants to Continue Working After We Re-enter our New Normal

Why a FIRE Doctor Wants to Continue Working After We Re-enter our New Normal

(FIRE=Financial Independence Retire Early/Recreational Employment)

Mother’s Day is often painful for many for a var Mother’s Day is often painful for many for a variety of reasons.💔Babies lost. Mothers lost. ❤️‍🩹Mothers who couldn’t be who people needed them to be, despite how hard they tried because you can’t give what you don’t know or have. To all of you who suffer for these reasons and more, I see you, my empathy sees you, my heart sees you. Today was painful. I cried at the bedside of a loved one as I regaled them and my family with my favorite memories of the loved one from times past, when they were healthy and whole. And what was intended to be a simple visit ended up with me being privileged enough to put on my doctor hat and help provide End of Life education and counseling. Afterward, my family and I went to our healing place, a local spring. But it was jam packed, so we came home instead and took turns using up all the hot water to take baths.😝 I finished my tears in the bath and emerged from the water as we so often do: refreshed. May you take care of yourself today. 😘 🌊💧Be gentle with yourself. Be kind to yourself.
Phenomenal book full of hard-earned wisdom. 🥰😍💪 My only regret: not buying it in print for my first read through so I could underline so much of it 🙂

This month we've got some wild, amazing stuff going on, but I won't blog about it until later this summer, so stay tuned (or subscribe to the blog if you don't want to miss one). Since I'm currently running around like a toddler jacked up on sugar cookies, I'm not staying still long enough to write a blog. There's still a blog post you can read though—it's found here.bckrygowski.com/2022/05/07/my-interview-on-physician-on-fires-blog/ ... See MoreSee Less
